Ingredients


1. Raisins: ½ kg

2. Dry red chillies : 2-3

3. Mustard: 1 tsp

4. A sprig of curry leaves

5. Green chillies chopped

6. Crushed ginger pieces: 2tsp 

7. Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp

8. Crushed garlic pieces : 2 Tablespoon

9. Kashmiri Chilli Powder : 4-5 Tablespoon

10. Tamarind Water : 1 Cup Tamarind Water

11. Jaggery ½ Cup

12. Salt

13. Fenugreek Powder : ½ Teaspoon

14. Oil : ¼ Cup

15. Vinegar : ¼ Cup


Method of preparation


Heat some oil in a pan and add raisins and fry them. Once it is ready, remove it from the oil. Now add mustard to the oil. After that, add whole dried red chillies and curry leaves. Add chopped green chillies, crushed garlic and ginger pieces. Try to cook on low flame and add turmeric powder and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Fry well till the green smell goes away. Add some tamarind water and mix well with the masala and heat till it boils. Now add jaggery and wait till the gravy thickens. Turn off the flame and let it cool. Take the roasted raisins and mix them in the gravy. Finally, add fenugreek powder, vinegar and a pinch of salt. Mix well. Delicious raisinsAchar is ready and can be served with biryani dishes.
